Junior QA Tester - Vila Real

Responsibilities
- Create and execute detailed test plans for new and existing applications, with a focus on manual and automated testing when applicable;
- Record, document, and track bugs and software issues identified during testing, using appropriate tools;
- Actively participate in software specification reviews to understand design requirements, potential risks, and failure points;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes by suggesting improvements based on post-release analysis and lessons learned;
- Contribute to functional automated testing.
Relationships
- Work closely with the software development team to identify and document bugs or issues found during testing;
- Maintain constant communication with the QA team to share best practices, status updates, and discuss testing challenges;
- Interact with product and design teams to fully understand user requirements and ensure the products meet expectations;
- Collaborate with customer support to understand user-reported issues that need to be tested or reproduced in the QA environment.
Requirements
- Ability to identify even the smallest deviations in product specifications and potential software errors;
- Strong logical and analytical skills to create test scenarios and identify the root cause of software issues;
- Clear verbal and written communication skills to effectively document issues and create test reports;
- Willingness and ability to work effectively in a team, adapt to changes, and share information;
- Familiarity with software testing tools. Knowledge of Jira, Zephyr, Mocha, and Chai is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or similar fields;
- Specific technical training, such as bootcamps, is a plus.
