Visma reported revenue of EUR 558 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, representing an increase of 18 percent compared to the same period last year. Based on preliminary figures for the full year, annual revenue was 2 056 million euros, a growth of 19 percent compared to 2021.
EBITDA grew by 16 percent to EUR 155 million in Q4, resulting in a total of EUR 587 million for the full year. This is an increase of 11 percent compared to 2021.
“Visma continues to show strength in a more volatile business environment. All our core segments are growing, and we are successfully taking steps to mitigate a rising cost level in our industry”, says Merete Hverven, CEO of Visma.
The company’s Annualized Repeatable Revenue (ARR) grew 23 percent to reach a record high level of EUR 1 936 million.
Record investment level
Visma continues to pursue growth through selective M&A to further strengthen its position as a leading business software provider in Europe and Latin America. 12 new companies joined Visma in the fourth quarter, including Nordic SaaS providers House of Control and Flex Applications, as well as four Benelux companies within areas like Govtech and HR.
At the end of the quarter, the Group also acquired its first company in Germany, the accounting software provider BuchhaltungsButler. A second acquisition in the country was announced in early January 2023, with public software specialist H&H joining the Visma family.
Visma acquired a total of 42 companies in 2022. A number in line with the previous year, but marking a definitive all-time high in terms of investment outlay, with a total transaction value of around one billion euros.
“We maintain our significant investments in product development and market expansion to position Visma for new growth. As a provider of mission-critical software which enables automation, increased efficiency, and competitiveness, I believe we have products that represent part of the solution for businesses and organisations facing more uncertain times”, Hverven says.
